Frequently Asked Questions

Who will provide supervision for my son/daughter?

All campers will be divided into groups on the first day of camp. They will be assigned one instructor who will stay with your child throughout their week at camp, both on the golf course and back on campus. All instructors will stay in the dorms in order to ensure your child is safe.

What happens if my child gets hurt at camp?

In the event of an injury, parents will be notified immediately.  The Minnesota Youth Golf Camp is fully insured. We require that campers provide their own health insurance. The Northfield Hospital is within 5 miles of campus. St. Olaf College health staff and public safety will be available at all times during camp.

What will my child need for dorm room survival?

We recommend that all campers bring:

  • Towel
  • Appropriate golf attire (Golf shirt is required for Advanced campers)
  • Athletic clothing
  • Athletic shoes

Each night, campers will meet with their small groups for small group discussions.

What should I do in case of emergency while my son/daughter is away?

If I bring a friend with, can we stay together?

Yes. If you plan to attend camp with a friend, please send us an email or call us and we will be happy to make arrangements for you.

How are the groups split up?

Since campers will be placed into small groups and assigned a counselor for the week, we want to ensure that they are in a comfortable environment. In order to do so, campers will receive a phone call from our camp director prior to their arrival at camp. Through his conversation with campers, he will then place them with the instructor that fits their needs best.

What is the student to instructor ratio?

The ratio of students to instructors is guaranteed never to exceed 8:1.

What if my son/daughter requires special arrangements?

If special arrangements need to be made for your camper, please contact us by phone (952) 334-6516 and we will work with you in order to make your camper’s stay more enjoyable.
